Laurie Smith is a part-time Teacher and consultant at King's College, London and an experienced English examiner. The authors, Andrew Liddle, Richard Ormrod and Shirley Ormrod, are all experienced teachers and examiners who possess an in-depth understanding of the specifications and their requirements. Peter Ellison, the series editor, is a former English Subject Officer, and is now a Key Stage 3 English and Literacy Consultant for CEA@Islington. Author Christopher Edge worked as a teacher before becoming a full-time writer. He is the author of teenage novel The Dead Ways and novelty book How to be a Hero. Popular illustrator Maggie Kneen's most recent book for Templar is Christmas in the Mouse House; Richard Johnson's are the pop-up sounds books Alice in Wonderland and Pinocchio.
