The practical activities in this book break down the art programme of study for Key Stage One and Scottish levels A-B into progressive "learning chunks" that develop both children's skills and understanding. It recognizes the constraints of the primary school and curriculum in both time and resources and includes guidance for classroom management, reporting on art, keeping records, moderating and portfolios. The sections in the book look at line, colour, pattern, texture and form. A poster pack containing four A2 colour posters (ISBN 0-590-53753-9) can also be purchased to accompany the book.
