This book will take you into the classrooms of great literacy teachers from around the United States who have designed successful vocabulary instruction for their grades K-6 classrooms. Each teacher will share vocabulary routines that he or she uses on a regular basis, including his or her favorite, which you can use as-is or adapt for your own classroom. Through their stories you will be encouraged to examine your vocabulary instruction and consider what you can do to help students who have vocabulary gaps and further enrich the vocabulary of those students who dont.
