This text consists of units with topical case studies and structured questions on all the key topics of the GCSE syllabuses and covers a range of both global and local regions. It can be worked through sequentially or individual units can be studied as required. Each unit uses questions to focus the text, all with accompanying mark allocations. Students can use the book to prepare for examinations, with both written and graphical responses given full consideration. The interaction of physical and human systems is investigated through the case studies, such as the Great Hanshin earthquake in Kobe, urban crime, and Britain's changing population and industrial bases.
