Daniel in the Lion's Den
Darius the Mede gives Daniel high office, but is then tricked into issuing a decree that condemns Daniel to death. Daniel is cast into a den of lions, but cheats death, for God sent an angel to close the jaws of the lions. The King throws those who conspired against Daniel to the lions, commanding his people to "tremble and fear before the God who closed the jaws of the lions".
