"The Literacy Kit" is an innovative range of resources to support the introduction of the National Literacy Strategy at Key Stage 3, or for use in any literacy lesson. Used together, the components make up a complete literacy course. Components can also be used separately with existing schemes of work, providing a thorough yet flexible package. Planning made easy - a step-by-step guide through using "The Literacy Kit" for all literacy teaching needs. Planners can be adapted to include existing resources.

This book is suitable for Key Stage 3. KS3 covers school years 7, 8 and 9, and ages 12-14 years. A key stage is any of the fixed stages into which the national curriculum is divided, each having its own prescribed course of study. At the end of each stage, pupils are required to complete standard assessment tasks.
