Vanessa is married to another freelance illustrator; they live in a small village on Exmoor with their dog Lucy. She enjoys walking, horse-riding, researching World War I aviation, sewing and listening to classical music. Fiona Waters has worked in children's books for many years. She is an experienced writer of children's fiction and non-fiction.
