The "Foundation History" series provides simplified versions of the five Core Study Units for use with less able pupils at Key Stage 3. In each full-colour book, the text, written sources and questions have been reduced and simplified to meet the needs of lower ability pupils. Otherwise, the books follow the same structure as their counterparts in the "Heinemann History Study Units" series, allowing both series to be used together for a wide range of abilities. This book gives pupils an overview of 400 years of British history. It focuses on the major upheavals, developments, challenges and achievements of the medieval period.

This book is part of a book series called Heinemann History Study Units .

This book is suitable for Key Stage 3. KS3 covers school years 7, 8 and 9, and ages 12-14 years. A key stage is any of the fixed stages into which the national curriculum is divided, each having its own prescribed course of study. At the end of each stage, pupils are required to complete standard assessment tasks.
