Yan is a big-hearted young man determined to perform Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah. But first, he must work hard on his farm and fill up his money bag for the journey. Despite the trials he faces on each unsuccessful trip to the Kaaba, Yan's helpful nature, compassion, and generosity enable him to succeed in the end.

Fawzia has worked as a teacher, librarian and school principal in the UK, USA and Canada since 1993. She is the author of thirty children's books, mostly on the topic of Eid. Currently studying children's Islamic Literature at University, she also works as an educational consultant. Although based in the Gulf, she also spends her time between Ohio and England with her husband and daughter. Sophie Burrows is a freelance illustrator living and working in Bristol, UK. She graduated from the University of the West of England in 2011 with a First Class degree in Illustration. While studying she was awarded Highly Commended in the Macmillan Prize for Children's Book Illustration. Since then she has worked on a number of children's editorials and books for publishers in the UK and overseas.
