LESLEY BEAKE is a multi-award-winning writer for children and young adults. Her international awards include, for Song of Be , a Children's Book of Note and the Best Book for Young Adults by the ALA. Outside South Africa her books have been published in ten countries. Of the 45 books published in South Africa, one has been translated into thirteen African languages. Her first book for Frances Lincoln was the highly-acclaimed picture book Home Now , illustrated by Karin Littlewood. She lives in Simon's Town, near Cape Town, South Africa. ERIKA PAL was born in Budapest. She worked in an animation film studio, before relocating to the UK with a dream of becoming a freelance illustrator. During her Animation and Illustration degree at London's Kingston University, she was twice highly commended for the Macmillan Prize, and won the national competition for Booktrust's Big Picture logo. After graduation, her first picture book, Azad's Camel was published by Frances Lincoln, followed by I See the Moon and Little Lion. Erika currently lives in London and her other interests are printmaking and experimental animation.
