ERIC ZWEIG is a longtime sports fan and a member of the Society for American Baseball Research and the Society for International Hockey Research. He has authored several sports, hockey, and baseball books, including the annual NHL Official Guide and Record Book, The Toronto Blue Jays Official 25th Anniversary Commemorative Book, a sports quotes series, Total Hockey, 99: My Life in Pictures, Hockey Trivia for Kids (Scholastic), and Stanley Cup: 120 Years of Hockey Supremacy (Firefly Books). He is a behind the scenes researcher and contributor for The Sports Network (TSN) and CBC and an on-air guest for dozens of television and radio programs. Eric also appeared as a "hockey philosopher" in the series Hockey: A People's History, as well as appearing as an expert in The Olympians television series (CBC). A former member of the Toronto Blue Jays grounds crew, he still has a champagne bottle from the club's first American League East Division title celebration in 1985. National Geographic Kids collaborates to put forth fun and interesting non-fiction for kids.
