BACKGROUND: Emmy (a Primary School Teacher) is diagnosed with a rare incurable cancer looked after by the Royal Marsden Hospital. Emmy & Jake decided to raise money and awareness for this incredible institution. So they bought a tandem so that they could embark on an exciting fundraising challenge, whilst travelling and spending time together. They named the tandem 'Tara' in respect of an exceptional Specialist Research Nurse at the Hospital. They then began to plan their fundraising journey from London to Copenhagen. Realising they needed somewhere to store equipment, amenities, clothes & medication whilst travelling, they decided to get a trailer...Tyrone. Since then,Tara&Tyrone were inseparable!They travelled 2000km through 6 countries in wind, rain, thunderstorms & magnificent rainbows. Tara&Tyrone have since been shipped across the North Sea, appeared in newspapers & magazines, even had the starring 'roll' as their wedding transport. Tara&Tyrone have developed their own unique, loveable personalities & are the perfect team which is why E&J decided to create the Children's book in their honour!
