Jan Payne is a children's writer who lives in France, with her husband Tony. Mike Phillips is a children's book illustrator who resides in England. He has illustrated the award-winning books Horrible Geography and Horrible Histories . Emily Bolam studied at Brighton College of Art (1987-1990). She has illustrated many successful titles for Campbell Books. Tony and Jan Payne are a husband and wife writing team who live in the Dordogne in France. For a time they had their own card company Payne Family Cards, for which they designed and published children's pop-up greetings cards. They are now concentrating on developing their remarkable and original talents writing stories for young readers.
