Ella Rose (Illustrator) Having always loved art lessons at school, I followed my passion, and went on to Art College introducing me to a broad foundation of all aspects of Art and Design. Following Art College I went on to gain a Degree in Textiles and Fashion, specialising in Surface Decoration. My love and interest for pattern, surface markings and delicacy comes through in my art. I take great inspiration from period textiles and fashion, current fashion trends, fabrics with surface interest such as lace, decorative art, vintage jewellery, not to mention my interest in the decorative qualities of period features of interior decor. Combine this love of pattern with my interest in colour, I love to play around with mixing these elements up to give a surface interest to my work. I work initially sketching by hand in pencil, and then create the final art by traditional means of pen and ink or watercolour, or draw line work up on my mac, retaining a fluid feel.
