This book looks at familiar technologies that have radically changed the world we live in.Each title examines what life was like before the invention of different technologies and at the ways in which life has changed since. It also looks at the history of the inventions themselves, and how each has developed as technology has advanced over the years. The text and photos show major events in chronological order and promote readers awareness of global developments. World maps locate where significant events and developments took place.
