Kevin Cunningham is an author and travel writer. He has written about Arthur Ashe, Condoleezza Rice, and Joseph Stalin. He lives in Chicago, Illinois. Elizabeth Raum has written dozens of books for young readers, including biographies, history books, and picture books. She taught English and social studies to students in grades 7-12 and worked as a librarian in both elementary schools and colleges. She particularly enjoys visiting schools and libraries to talk with students about research and writing. Michael Burgan has written more than two dozen biographies for young readers. His Breaker Boys , about photographer Lewis Hine and his depiction of child labor, was named one of SLJ 's 20 Outstanding Nonfiction Books of 2013 .
