Ailie Busby is a very talented illustrator with a distinctive style. She has had work published by Scholastic and Orion and currently lives in Newcastle upon Tyne with her family. Elizabeth Arnold has had a varied career - most recently working as a school lab technician. Her first book, The Parsley Parcel, was shortlisted for the 1995 Whitbread Award, and was adapted by CITV as Gypsy Girl. Gold and Silver Water was commended for the NASEN award.
