Elisa Paganelli attended the Art Institute in her hometown of Modena, Italy before progressing to the European Institute of Design in Turin, where she studied illustration. She worked as a graphic designer for several years and set up her own award-winning design studio, Teapot Graphic Design, before following her true passion for illustration. She likes to draw accompanied by a cup of tea and her beloved pet-assistants. Sophie Anderson grew up with stories in her blood, from her mother, who is a writer, to her Prussian grandmother, whose own storytelling inspired The House with Chicken Legs. Now living in the Lake District with her family, Sophie loves walking, canoeing and daydreaming. She spends every spare minute reading, and loves to talk about books online, offline and to anyone else who will listen. Sophie's dream is to create stories that help children to explore the world and fall in love with its beautiful diversity. Melissa Castrillon is a freelance illustrator currently based in Cambridge, England. She grew up in a small town called Hitchin and moved to Cambridge eight years ago, where she earned a First class Honors Degree in illustration. In 2014 she earned a Master's Degree in children's book illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. She is the illustrator of If I Had a Little Dream and Yellow Kayak , and the author-illustrator of The Balcony .
