"Landmark Science Inventions On File[trademark]" provides science teachers with 60 challenging and interesting experiments that will help middle school and high school students understand the historical nature of science, as well as the steps that lead to landmark discoveries. Emphasis is on 'early' discoveries in science and their impact on 'contemporary' science. The educational and engaging experiments span the fields of electricity, mechanics, light and sound, chemistry, biology, and Earth science. All featured activities are designed to be low cost and simple to set up, yet focused on the major concepts described in the National Science Teachers Association standards.
