"Children of Bach" by Eilis Dillon is a poignant historical novel that revolves around the lives of Johann Sebastian Bach's children, exploring their struggles, ambitions, and the enduring legacy of their father. Set in the backdrop of 18th-century Germany, the story delves into the intense dynamics of the Bach family, highlighting the pressure faced by the children to live up to their father’s towering musical legacy. As they navigate their own paths in music and life, the narrative captures themes of creativity, loss, and the quest for identity amidst the shadow of one of history's greatest composers.
