Great for age 3-6 years

The Frog that was Tired of Being Green tells the story of a frog called Solomon. Solomon is bored of being green, and he believes that frogs who are other colours have a far more exciting time.

He imagines what it would be like to be different colours, and then, to his amazement, he wakes up one morning to find his wish has come true!

First he becomes orange, like his favourite marmalade. Then he becomes blue, like the colour of the sky on a summer's day. Afterwards, he turns yellow, like the sun, and finally red, like dragons' fire.

He gets very excited each time, and over several days shows off his new colours to his friends - but none of them recognise him and they run away! Instead, his friends go searching for the `real' Solomon.

Solomon's story emphasises the importance of being happy with who you are. It also helps young readers learn about different colours and the days of the week. The Frog that was Tired of Being Green will appeal to children aged 2-5 years.
