Sergio is great at soccer... in his dreams. He wants to be a soccer star, but all the practice in the world doesn't seem to help, and he's always the one chosen last for teams. So Sergio decides to try playing another position--goalie! He isn't so good at that either at first, but with hard work and practice, he's able to play in the big game against the big, bad Seagulls. And, as the title reveals, he does save the game, but in an unexpected way--by piercing the ball with his beak!
Sergio has been called an "everypenguin" (Kirkus), and certainly every child should be able to relate to this adorable, endearing penguin
