Pieces are chosen in a traditional literary journal style by an editorial board comprised of students and volunteer tutors.

This particular issue features a fictional story about a boy stuck in a glow stick, a poem about a balloon who's afraid of popping, a personal essay about having two names, an excerpt about a pair of exploding boots, and investigative journalism about soul surfers, as well as a healthy selection of stories from the world outside of San Francisco.
