Award-winning author Tessa Duder's lovely story comes to life with Mark Wilson's beautiful illustrations. When Sara goes to stay with her grandmother she never imagines that the old Turkish carpet in the spare room would reveal quite so many secrets and teach her so much about her Turkish grandmother's past life. The Whispering Carpet is a delightful story that explores and celebrates the fantasy world of a young child. It also embraces the power of family love and the very special relationship that exists between grandparents and their grandchildren, no matter what their heritage or background. Ages 4+
