This set of 30 short stories contains adult-oriented topics and photographs. The stories have been written using the cloze procedure in which words are deleted from a passage and the reader is required to fill in the blanks. This method has been shown to help develop reading, writing and spelling skills by teaching the student how to gain meaning from context clues. There are comprehension activities throughout the book.
