One of a series containing poetry for young children chosen by John Foster. In "Action Rhymes" you can turn yourself into a robot, a rocket, an alligator, or a creepy crawly. Carol Thompson's illustrations include help on how to "play" the rhymes. All the poems in the book have been set to music on the accompanying cassette. There are both male and female voices singing and the music has been written specially for the cassette. A range of lively and quieter tunes should make it interesting to listen to again and again.
