Malachy Doyle has written over a hundred books, from picture books to teenage novels. His books have won the Nestle Smarties Prize, the Tir na n-Og Award and the English Association Award. Malachy spent twenty-five years in Wales, before returning to Ireland, where he lives on a tiny island with his wife, cats, dogs and ducks. Malachy Doyle lives in Wales where he works full time as a writer. He has written many other books for children, including our own OWEN AND THE MOUNTAIN and this is his first book for young adults.
