The course builds on the skills learnt at primary level and encourages students to develop their problem-solving and computational ability whilst furthering their mathematical knowledge. The books contain abundant examples of how mathematics is used in everyday situations, so that students become increasingly aware of how important the subject is both for further study and in the workplace. In addition, Junior Secondary levels 1-3 lay the foundations for progression to Senior Secondary level and for success at Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)

The course provides:

  • clear and engaging layout
  • a preliminary chapter that outlines which topics should be covered before beginning each book
  • fully-worked examples to give students a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts
  • chapter summaries to aid recall and revision
  • answers to all exercises included at the back of the Pupils' Book, so that the students can monitor their own progress
  • a number of revision tests, with answers provided in the Teacher's Guide
  • a curriculum matching chart that indicates at a glance where the curriculum topics are covered in the book.
