Based on a real incident In 1904, this is the story of Davy, who lives on a farm near Waihi. A tar-sealed road is being made between Davy's farm and the town of Waihi. Davy is fascinated by the machinery involved in making the road. However, one day the ducks that Davy feeds every morning and evening get stuck in the soft tar that has just been laid on the road. Davy and his family set out to rescue the ducks.
