Dorothea DePrisco grew up in a small Long Island south shore hamlet, Blue Point. As a child, she wrote stories and drew pictures about her neighbors and handed them out as gifts. She fondly remembers the joy on people's faces when they read her stories, and this memory drives her to spark the imagination of children every day. A former editor at Scholastic Book Clubs and a high school English teacher, she has written more than 90 books for young readers. Recent titles include Smithsonian Discover: Earth, Discovery Spaceopedia, Animal Planet Baby Animals, and Who's in the Ocean? She lives in Vacaville, CA. Sarah Dillard studied art at Rhode Island School of Design, USA, where she earned a Masters degree in Art Education. Sarah has illustrated several books for various publishers. After living in Boston for many years, her home is now in Vermont, USA. Treesha Runnells graduated from Syracuse University, USA, with a degree in Illustration. Treesha has written and illustrated a picture book, Afraid of the Dark, and has also illustrated for Walt Disney Classics. Treesha lives in Los Angles, USA.
