The first Barn Owl in full colour is an enchanting story about the Giant Waldo who falls hopelessly in love with the picture of the beautiful Princess Clarissa. Guided by his friend Heavy Hetty the Wrestler, Waldo makes every romantic gesture he can think of. When he finally meets the princess he realises how unsuitable she would be and what a lot of fun his friend Hetty is. And Hetty seems to have a soft spot for Waldo too. A charming, humorous story in which the witty pictures sometimes tell a subtly different story from the text.
