Dianne de Las Casas is an award-winning author, storyteller, recording artist, and founder of the celebrated November Is Picture Book Month initiative. She hunts and pecks a good story everywhere she goes. Her work has earned rave reviews from School Library Journal, Booklist, and Kirkus. She performs worldwide at schools, conferences, and special events and is the author of many picture books with Pelican, including Mama's Bayou, The House That Witchy Built, and Blue Frog: The Legend of Chocolate. She lives with her family in Harvey, Louisiana. Stefan Jolet grew up in the culturally rich Cajun community of New Iberia, Louisiana. He began drawing at the tender age of four, and his graphic arts career has spanned nearly two decades. Jolet is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and resides in Youngsville, Louisiana, with his family. Kid Chef Eliana won a 2013 Parents' Choice Approved award from the Parents' Choice Foundation for her first cookbook, Cool Kids Cook: Louisiana. The teen author hosts a weekly radio show on VoiceAmerica. She has shared the cooking stage with Chef John Besh, filmed with Chef Aaron Sanchez and Chef Carla Hall, and appeared on the Wendy Williams Show. Guests on her radio show include some of the top chefs in the nation. A 2013 recipient of Gambit's 40 Under 40 award, Eliana has a full plate of appearances and cooking demos along with teaching a Young Chefs Rock! culinary camp through the Louisiana Children's Museum in New Orleans. She lives at with her family in Harvey, Louisiana. Soleil Lisette is Eliana's big sister.
