Charities at Work is an introduction to the work of charities in the world today. Each book concentrates on a different area of need. Each book starts with a simple explanation of what a charity is, then goes on to present a particular problem and shows how one or more charities work to solve that problem. The main text, illustrated with photographs, is aimed squarely at Key Stage I, while boxed text offers further information for more able readers. The books address both UK-based issues and international needs. Endmatter includes useful addresses, and information on how you can get involved.
