Based on the small version of "The Snow Lamb", this book is intended as a whole class teaching resource used by teachers to teach reading and writing conventions. It is recommended by the NLS for use in the shared reading session of the reading hour, particularly at Key Stage 1. It tells the story about the very special relationship between a boy and his dog. The reader can follow two parallel stories in the illustrations which convey the contrast between the warm farmhouse and chilling outdoors.
