When she isn't writing or reading, Lucy spends her time working at a large children's media organization in Washington, DC Jerry Siegel (1914-1996) is best known as the co-creator of the world's longest published superhero, Superman, with Joe Shuster. He scripted the characrter on and off until 1967, and also worked on numerous other comic series. Wayne Boring was born in Minnesota in 1905 and studied art in his hometown, as well as the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He became one of Joe Shuster's early assistants in the late 1930s and eventually assumed the full drawing duties. His rendition of Superman became the most recognizable version during the 1950s and '60s.
