When a strange twirling sickness grips the kingdom of Nedakh, bakers make no bread, farmers grow no rice and goats go unmilked. Its Emperor decides he needs help - time to call for International Adventurers, Samantha Cardigan and Rabbit to untangle the mystery. Once they arrive, the pair soon realise that something quiet queer is going on. Why does Doctor Inchbutt keep snatching hair from peoples' heads and who is the sinister hooded man with the blind donkey at the Lime Tree Inn? Samantha Cardigan and Rabbit investigate further and spy on a meeting at the old quarry. But they soon get discovered and Samantha is put under the ghastly twirling spell by Guul, the wicked magician. Good job Rabbit has remembered to bring his inflatable travelling vacuum cleaner. Springing into action, he sucks Guul up into the machine. The ghastly curse is lifted and the kingdom returns to normal. Guul and Doctor Inchbutt are imprisoned and the heroes of the day, Samantha Cardigan and Rabbit, are rewarded with a medal and a bunch of carrots.
