This is the student's book for an advanced Spanish course bridging the gap between GCSE/Standard Grade and A level/Higher Grade. It suits the abilities of students who have achieved Grade C at GCSE (or approximately Level 6 of the National Curriculum) or General Level at Standard Grade, and it enables them to tackle the language and topic requirements of all advanced syllabuses or the revised Higher. There is an emphasis on activities providing practice, which also makes the book relevant for students in intermediate or advanced vocational language courses. There is an accompanying teacher's book and a cassette pack, which provides authentic, spontaneous and semi-scripted recordings by a variety of Sapnish speakers from Latin America to complement, both linguistically and culturally, the written texts and to build up listening and speaking competence.

She is currently running grammar courses at Strathclyde University. David Mort was Head of French for over twenty years at a leading coeducational independent school in the north-west. He is co-author of the highly successful Advanced Level language courses Tout Droit!, Droit au but! and Sigue. David now divides his time between writing, following Manchester United and studying contemporary French philosophers, especially Eric Cantona.
