Alan Durant is an established children's author who has written several books for young adults as well as fiction for young children, picture books and poetry. He has previously compiled Red Hot Reads: Vampire Stories for Kingfisher. He lives in Surrey. David Kearney, a talented black-and-white line artist with particular expertise in sports provides a full-page, action-packed illustration for each story. John Yeoman was for many years Head of English at the French Lycee in London. His collaboration with Quentin Blake began in 1960 with A Drink of Water, and has resulted in a long list of successful children's books.
