He has illustrated wildlife non-fiction titles for Longman, Reader's Digest and Macmillan, as well as providing artwork for decorative plates. The Brave Little Owl is his first children's book. Jan Mark was one of this country's finest writers for young people. She was twice awarded the Carnegie Medal and also won the Guardian, Observer and Angel fiction awards. David Hughes is an artist whose work combines illustration, graphic design, photography and animation.
