Just in time for spring, this is the second book in the Carter pop-up book series about the seasons. Each spread has a very brief verse and shows a seasonal spread depicting flora and fauna commonly found during spring. All things pictured are labeled (robbins, water lily, ripples, cherry tree, etc.). The text is simple for very young readers to understand and enjoy.

There are 12 pages in this book. This is a picture book. A picture book uses pictures and text to tell the story. The number of words varies from zero ('wordless') to around 1k over 32 pages. Picture books are typically aimed at young readers (age 3-6) but can also be aimed at older children (7+). This book was published 2016 by Abrams .

Dave Carter is Chief Examiner for GCSE French for a major awarding body and was formerly Head of Modern Languages at Morley High School, Leeds.
