The Poster-Book consists of 34 A3 photographic pages documenting the celebration of Mass. The fold-out presentation makes it possible to display the sequence of the celebration or its progression. Close-up images of the actions of the priest, eg during the consecration, allow the children to see details from a closer perspective than they would normally have. The CD-ROM contains a wealth of materials to further enhance the use of the large-format book. Over 300 high quality digital images: the visual sequence of the Welcome to the Mass book, plus 85 more photographs of the Mass and details that are not in the large-format book, 70 photographs of sacred vessels, vestments and objects found in church settings, more than 25 examples of postures and gestures used in prayer and liturgy. These images may be used to create effective and personalised teaching materials for presentations. More than 100 pages of notes on the Mass provide background information and theology on: Introductory Rites, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist and Concluding Rites to aid teachers and catechists to confidently teach about the celebration of the Mass. Activity suggestions, provide teachers and catechists with ideas, liturgies and points for discussion with regard to each photograph in the large-format book as well as detailed information and activities related to understanding of the church building (including how and what to do on taking the children to visit a church), the sacred vessels, vestments, the liturgical year and the postures and gestures used for prayer and during the Mass. The notes on the CD-ROM are enriched with valuable, thematic number references to relevant paragraphs in the Catechism of the Catholic Church
