The accompanying Read Write Inc. module offers activities which provide practice in reading, writing and spelling, and consolidate the pupils' knowledge through comprehension and guided composition. Ruth Miskin is an expert in synthetic phonics with over 25 years' teaching experience. She is involved in advising the UK government on literacy training, and in training senior literacy advisers. Prodeepta Das was born in Eastern India. After studying English literature at Sussex University, he joined the Civil Service and later became a teacher. He is currently working as a freelance photographer and author, and his pictures have been published in over 20 children's titles.
