She now works as a Language Project Officer and freelance journalist. She has written 12 non-fiction books. Prodeepta Das was born in Eastern India. After studying English literature at Sussex University, he joined the Civil Service and later became a teacher. He is currently working as a freelance photographer and author, and his pictures have been published in over 20 children's titles.
