Familiar themes are approached in a new and fresh way to inspire and interest students. The course is easy to use: the layout and format is clear and easy to follow, while the planning and notes in the "Teacher's Book" and "Coursemaster" save preparation time. Independent learning is encouraged through two plenary style activities at the end of each core teaching spread, which encourage students to reflect on their learning and put it into practice. Further, differentiation and extension material is included at the back of the book (Encore/En plus/Lecture pages). Skills and grammar are integrated from the beginning of the course, training students from the start for their GCSE exam. There is a dedicated grammar spread (Zoom grammaire), and skills spread (Guide examen) in each unit. This work builds on KS3 Framework: language is recycled in the opening Rappelez-vous spread - short, revision activities focusing on transferable skills and grammar. The "Evaluation Pack" contains the following components: 2x "Students' Books", 2x "Workbooks"; "Teacher's Book" blad for both levels; sample exam pack material, sample "En Solo" material, sample audio, sample action CD-ROM.
