What a special visitor Mary has! It's the Angel Gabriel, and he has a very important message from God. Award-winning author Alexa Tewkesbury retells the first Christmas story in timeless fashion in this delightful picture book for 3-5 year olds. From Gabriel's visit to Mary to the arrival of the shepherds and the magi to welcome to new-born Jesus, The Story of Christmas is the perfect way to introduce kids to the nativity story and the true meaning behind the holiday season. Bright, colourful illustrations from Dani Padron bring the book to life, and kids will love spotting the many different animals that are dotted on every page. The clear, simple text is ideal for young ones just starting to read and for adults to read aloud. The Story of Christmas is a picture book that will charm children and parents alike, and is also a brilliant story time resource for KS1 teachers and children's workers. Kids will learn about the story of Christmas in the Bible in a memorable, engaging way, and gain a new understanding of why we celebrate it each year.
