She spots Mrs Elephant hanging out her washing and shouts out, "What big pants!" and sees Mr Tiger having lunch with a friend and yells, "You're being greedy!" In short, she annoys all the animals in town with her nosiness, until she spots a thief in Mr Tiger's shop and gets him arrested. Then everyone has to agree that "It's good to be nosy - sometimes!" This is a picture book with a surprise on every page turn and lots of things to count and find on the way. The sheer exuberance of Rosy herself will appeal to a pre-school readership and the story will bear reading and re-reading because of the amount of detail crammed into such a simple storyline.
