David Harmer is the headteacher of a primary school in Doncaster. He has been writing and editing books for the past 12 years. He is also a great performance poet and works with fellow Macmillan poet Paul Cookson in the popular Spill the Beans poetry duo. Ian McMillan was born in 1956 and has been a freelance writer, broadcaster and performer since 1981. He is currently poet in residence at Barnsley Football Club and is Yorkshire TV's investigative poet.
