This CD-Rom accompanies the Collins Big Cat guided reading series for ages 6--7. It provides 4 fiction and 4 non-fiction talking book versions of books from the series, plus a fully interactive non-fiction text that children can explore and use to build their own text. The talking books on this CD-ROM can be used by children working independently or in small groups. Each book is supported by a choice of activities, from matching to sequencing to supported free writing. The interactive story on this CD-ROM enables children to become actively involved in creating a text.
