Claudio Munoz was born and raised in Chile. He is now a well respected children's illustrator whose Little Captain won the Prix Du Livre De La Mer Award. His books have also been shortlisted for the Smarties Prize and the Mother Goose Award. He now lives in England and is married to Jill Newsome. They have two daughters. Ilene Cooper has written many children's books, including Sam I Am and Absolutely Lucy. She is the editor for Booklist.
