Claude Ponti is a prolific author, painter, and illustrator, known for his humorous explorations of the nonsense world of dreams. His first picture book, Adele's Album, was created to amuse his young daughter; he has since authored more than sixty children's books. Ponti currently divides his time between the French countryside (where there are many birds, such as pheasants) and Paris (where there are pigeons). Florence Seyvos grew up in Northern France. At 20 she won first prize in a short story competition, then went on to publish her first children's book. She has also written several novels for adults, including Les Apparitions (awarded the Prix Goncourt du premier roman) and more recently Un Garcon Incassable, and collaborated on a number of screenplays with Noemie Lvovsky, including Sentiments and Camille Redouble.
